Soleile is a cat of oriental build, lean and sportive, though her face is not quite as pointed, leaning more towards a traditional built though not completly. She stands on average height, not being exceptionally tall nor small. Her weight is to the lighter side as she does not generally eat a lot. This is not to say she is underweight. Her fur is of medium lenght, a little longer around the tail area slightly tufted at the cheecks. She keeps in generally nicely groomed. It is silky soft to the touch. In terms of accessories she can always be seen wearing her collar with her main ability stone when out and about. When the season allows it she will also often wear flowers. Aside from these she doesn't generally wear anything of note, preferring a more sober style. In her movements Soleile tends to be collected and refined, giving off an impression of elegance and an air of calm. Her voice is soft-spoken and clear, rarely raising her voice. If she does her tone is most likely to go cold.

.:: Personality ::.

[ Spiritual • Otherworldly • Self-righteous ]

Far and foremost Soleile is characterized by her deep faith in Andromeda and the light spirits. She can often be found referring to them and interprets daily occurrences in their name. She takes this really far, doing everything to mimic what she sees as Andromeda's teachings. This can make her seem rather out of this world at times, speaking in metaphors and feeling as if she is divinely connected with the spirits themselves. Her faith comes with a heavy sense of morale, even in dire situations grabbing back to it. This morale is however quite narrow-minded and she does often like her way is the only correct way of handling things.

[ Caring • Humble • Calm ] 

A light elemental and capable of healing, Soleile has always been drawn towards helping others. She believes one should help one's fellow cat (or other animal for that part) all differences aside. She can show deep compassion and has a caring nature towards others. Though she has left her days as healer behind, she still shows her care in form of guidance of her region. This position she takes on with certain humbleness, not ascribing her achievements to herself, but rather the spirits who guided her so far. She believes that potential is present in even the smallest cat and that it will bloom if only they let in the light. Her approach to things gives her a very calm and collected attitude, often enabling her to pass on that calm onto others.

For all her beliefs Soleile is not soft of heart in treating others. As is said, soft healers make stinking wounds, and Soleile will have non of it. Though she believes in conquering hate with love and darkness with light, she does find those things need to be addressed and dealt with swiftly. Crime of any sort is not allowed on her watch and she sees to it any offenders are seen to. She however also believes in justice, punishments needing to befit the crime and second chances allowed, even encouraged to be given. Those who do trespass on her sense of moral will receive harsh judgement on her part until remorse is shown and their faults are repented for.

If there's anything has learned from her years alone, it is diplomacy. She has become quite good at mediating and 'gently leading' things towards the -according to her- best outcome. The regions are generally not keen on trespassers, but Soleile managed to worm her way in anyway with way of being. Because of the lapses of time between regions where she missed things going on, she has made it a habit to stay on top of happenings. Keeping things hidden is difficult and she does not hesitate to stick her nose in other cat's business to so called help. This unsolicited advise is certainly not always appreciated. When she is not trying to steer or calm down things, Soleile can be outright blunt. To her it makes little sense to tap-dance around problems and she will give it to others straight, respecting it if they do the same.

.:: History ::.

Pre-birth ||

Her father Hayden had been a simple hunter for the region, ever dutiful gathering prey as well as other things. It was a hunting trip where he met Cael. Cael was one of the region's searchers and whereas he normally tracked for stones and fragment, after that fateful meeting, Cael set off in pursuit of the young hunter's heart. Hayden however played coy, telling him that he was not convinced Cael felt love rather than lust for him. Swearing on Andromeda herself, Cael declared that he would do anything to win over the tom's heart.  And so Hayden jokingly replied he would say yes if Cael would cross into South territory and secure him a nice gem. The nicest gem he could find, Cael promised. Hayden shook his head, not believing a word the flirty tomcat said, the male well-known for flirting with about anyone. So he continued on with his job, ignoring the claim. He had long since however grown used to the male's daily visits and his sudden absence was well noted. He had first expected that he had found another target to seduce, but instead  found camp devout of him. Days turned into two weeks, Hayden sick with worry, when suddenly Cael showed back. He looked for everything in the world like he just had a run in with Bane himself, but still smiled dropping a gem in front of the other male. He started to apologize that he couldn't find a bigger one, sheepish smile on his face. Hayden was beyond himself, earning Cael an ear full. The whole blow up was concluded after Cael went ignored for three days and then was roughly approached by Hayden who screamed yes and threw himself at the other cat.

Soon enough the two were happily mated before the spirits and not too long after that they started considering having a family of their own. It was here the two found some difficulty. Both male there were of course little options, the most prominent one adopting. Cael however insisted on having one of their own. Hayden however was not attracted by the idea, not fancying having a she-cat involved. There was much discussion, even some fights, but eventually it was agreed that only Hayden would sire. Their good friend Anise, a healer herself, agreed to carrying the kittens for them and so they soon found themselves expecting.

Kit ||

They were graced with a large litter of six, Soleile, her sister Estelle and her brothers Umbriel, Draco, Leo and Orion. It sufices to say that while Hayden and Cael were elated with having so many precious kittens, they and Anise had their hands full. Both fathers would visit the queen often, staying with her and bonding with the small bundles of fur. It was Cael who, waiting for the kittens to fall asleep, would tell stories about Andromeda and the pieces of the stones for which he searched. Amongst the sleepy kittens lay Soleile, hanging on her papa's every word. She would do her best to stay awake longest, very much wanting to hear all, before succumbing to her own need to sleep, her dreams filled with spirits and other unworldly dreams.

Soon the kittens were getting old enough to be weaned and they were moved as early as possible away from Anise and towards her fathers, so the she-cat could resume her duties as healer. For Soleile it was quite and adaptation as she was used to the comfortable fur of the queen. Despite they had never intended for the healer to be a mother figure in the kitten's life, the fact she had carried, birthed and nursed them formed a bond with them that was hard to completly break. As the healer visited to check in on general health, the kittens would be upon her in seconds. In the meantime their time to choose their path in life grew near, rookieship upon them. Soleile was positivalelly radiant as she discovered a light yellow freckle on her paw, the normally quiet kitten gushing about it till her brothers and sister got tired of it and she was finally able to use her gift.

Apprentice ||

A healer. It was what Soleile wanted to be, the kitten looking up to Andromeda and Anise both, strong gentle cats who helped others. She need not think like her brothers and sister did, knowing what she wanted in a heartbeat. She requested a spot as apprentice which she was granted, her guide no other than Anise.

Soleile learned eagerly, a sponge to any knowledge her guide had to offer. She did not stop at that though, shadowing the other healer, even the other rookie and even seeing about a few things herself. And still it was not enough, she needed to know more, do more. Her fathers were worried at their daughters obsession, trying to douse it, worried about what others may think. "I want to live like Andromeda did." It was a declaration she made once, in the middle of camp, as Hayden expressed his concerns that she needed rest. It got her both looks of approval and dislike and it were the latter that had her fathers worried. Their concerns fell on deaf ears however, her siblings -whether they found it admirable or amusing- encouraging it even. Disaster struck when she was eight moons old, Anise suddenly falling ill. Whatever she ailed from was a mystery to the other healer and in mere months her health detoriated rapidly. By ten moons Soleile's mentor had passed away. It was not enough. It was a thought that kept replaying in the rookie's head over and over as they said their last goodbye's to their surrogate mother.

In Andromada's pawsteps ||

While mourning the loss of a close friend, Hayden and Cael also worried about their kittens. What if the illness was something that was passed on from mother to kitten? While her brothers and sisters stuck close together in their mourning, Soleile did not, seeming to prefer to recover by herself, her thought able to rule freely in the quiet times she spent alone. It was her brother Umbriel that sought her out as she was starring at the stars, the strangely start black kitten barely noticable in the dark of the night. His eyes gleamed though, watching his sister. He was the first to ask: "What are you thinking?" His sister turned her eyes to him and whispered: "It's not enough." And her brother understood. He understood her worries, her pains, her longing, like no other of her siblings could and he nodded. She cried for the first time that night. And smiled as she told about how she swore Anise had visited her in her dreams and had told her she was with spirits now. She shared her regrets and her plans for the future. And Umbriel just sat and listened until the very end before nodding again. "Dad and Papa won't like it." Of course Soleile knew that. Her brother smiled. "But I know only you can follow your own path, walk it and let it take wherever it will lead you."

And so Soleile did. She packed up and told everyone in her region goodbye, her fathers begging her not to go. She had no choice. It was as if something bigger was compelling her, Anise's passing a sign that could not be ignored. She needed to learn more, to see more. She needed to travel the regions like Andromeda herself once did. It was a heart both heavy and light at the same time that she left East behind, becoming a rogue. She was leaving the region she had born into, but she felt content knowing she was following into Andromeda's pawsteps.

For moons to come she would travel the regions, learning more about healing as she crossed through territories while sharing what she had learned as well. She was met by distrust at first, the other regions not eager to have a rogue threspassing on their grounds. Her offer of medical knowledge as well as actual assistance was however soon noted and soon enough she was received with smiles, many recongising a dedicated follower of Andromeda in the young female. Others however disapproved strongly, not liking how Soleile tried to mimic someone who they saw as divine. Their cross looks and angry stares went ignored however and Soleile happily continued her quest to learn all she could.

Off all the regions, her heart always stayed closest to East, always enjoying her visits there more strongly than those of the other regions. Ever watchful, when the first signs of the weather growing strange started showing, Soleile found herself walking back to her region early, a fact she would assign to the spirits. And good time it seemed as well. Rain, rain and more rain fell from the sky, making the ground muddy and making the water levels rise. East was in trouble and Soleile was there to help. Initially she kept her status as rogue, expecting the turn of events to be only temporaly. With the rain never letting up, lake borealis rose and soon their camp was flooding , Easteners forced to evacuate to higher grouns, least they drown. Soleile was helping carrying some kittens, while Umbriel assisted an elder cat. His eyes sought out her and she blinked slowly, understanding what he was saying. It was time to come back.

Searcher ||

Soleile sought councel with their leader Cinna who was happy enough to accept her back into the region. There was a slight set back though. Healer positions were all filled, having left her region, having wastes her chances. It was a setback, but Soleile accepted is as reality. The spirits clearly had other plans for her. She became a searcher for the region, much to her papa's pride.

They were temporarily taken in by North but due their their own troubles - a lack of prey due to a seemingly never ending winter - they were soon sent back on their way. Though Soleile was not happy with her region's predicament, she also understood. The North was barely able to sustain themselves, let alone feed the extra mouths of the Easteners. What really upsets her are the rumors going around that East along with West are stealing food from the regions, not believing her ears that the other regioners would belief such thing. A gathering is called and luckily the the rumors are debunked. Things take a much more dark turn however when living myths show up at the gathering: followers. Soleile was really shaken up by the events, turning to prayer and her beliefs even more, calling upon Andromeda and the spirits to guide them through these dark times.

Times were uncertain, both East and West living in the neutral lands. It is soon that another gathering is called and again the region's -and in turn Soleile's- world is rocked. There are spies amongst them. This fact quickly and not suprisingly sparks distrust in the regions for traitors walk hidden amongst their own. Soleile advocates to not turn against one another as it is their power as a group that makes them strong. It seems however that their leader Cinna has other plans as he sents the cats Matthew, Esme, Drake, and Nakoda into exile. Trust is asked and it is what Soleile gives, strongly believing the male indeed would not exile them without good reason. Clearly it was part of Andromeda's greater plan and all would be revealed later.

Leader of the East ||

If there was any revealing due, it turned out it would not be by their leader himself. Cinna mysteriously dissappears. The cats of East are distraught, Soleile as many speculating what happened to him and unsurely awaiting his return. It is Soleile who dreams, a dream that's not quite as her others. It is vague but stays with her after waking. A grey tabby figure surounded by air, the wind stilling and the figure disappearing. A dark cat surrounded by shadows, the shadows fading away as light comes forth, leaving the clearing on which they were standing bathed in light but empty. She ponders it's meaning and while she does not understand all, she comes to one conclusion. Cinna is not coming back. As she tells others of her dream, not all are convinced but enough are and the shaken cats shove forth a new problem. A leader. With Cinna gone, Matthew exiled and nobody having been appointed as new advisor yet, East was left without any leader figure. While the region discussed what to do, Soleile pondered what the other part of her dream had meant but also why she had been given it. Was it a sign? What was she supossed to do? Seeing the predicament her fellow cats were in, she saw only one explanation. The spirits wanted her to lead her region through these troubled times. And so she stepped up, explaining her dream, sharing her vision for a brighter future and telling to every cat that would hear of her calling to enable that future alongside them. As a region, a unity. Because they were East and as Andromeda was the destined opposite of Bane, they were of the followers. They would drive out the darkness with their light. Her words were heard and as leadership was put to a vote, Soleile managed to convince enough cats to become the next leader of East. With conviction she started the job given to her, determined to follow the path laid out for her.

Faith || Soleile is a devoted to Andromeda and the light spirits and is uterly repulsed by those that do not share the same beliefs. Her morals are completly built upon her idea of Andromeda, always trying to follow the cat's way of life and acgingbin her image. She very much hopes that upon her death she will join the light spirits. You can find her referring to both the spirits and Andromeda often and you may find her 'talking to the spirits' at times though she normally does so in private. She also beliefs in the dark spirits and Bane but sees them as something bad that is to be resisted and avoided. She beliefs cats should be educated about them so they may learn from mistakes in the past. As a true Eastener she is convinced Andromeda originated from the East region.

Stigma || Despite having travelled through the regions, Soleile sticks to traditional East beliefs. She sees psychical ailments as a result of dark spirits and does not recognize  any gender aside from cis male and female, referring to cats by their sex. She treats dark elements and black cats with caution, keeping a close eye on them, but not being unkind towards them. She is very uptight about romantic relationships and scrutunizes those who do not form 'proper' one on one couples.

Other regions & Followers || Soleile considers all the regioners precious and will not shun them, having been in contact with each of them. She does however consider the East her home and East culture the right way of living, making her biased towards her own people. She shows a strong dislike for the followers, seeing them as dangerous, but also as sick. These are gravely ill cats that if they cannot be reasoned with, need to be dealt with swiftly, least they infect others with their festering dark spirits.

Leonardo looked on in amazement as the young Aodhian monarch spoke, presenting their herd with the legendary creatures of which he had only heard in tales and books. He turned away from the food stand, trying to get a better look, thinking the stall keeper would surely hand over the food to Ciel. Their king spoke, accepting the gift and filling Leon with thrill. This. This was it, no doubt. The start of peace, a moment that would go down into history and he was privileged enough to attend it. But it all ended in a moment. Gone was the excitement, replaced by confusion and just the slightest bit of panic as an ear deafening boom resounded and a bright light blinded him. It took a couple of moments for both his sight and hearing to return and by the time it did, horses were already pushing and screaming, panic taking hold of the crowd in the explosion's aftermath. Leon tried to keep his place, but was inadvertently swept away by the crowd, separating him from Ciel. He vehemently prayed the stallion would be all right in his current state. He took note of the pygmy dragons, who had escaped in the commotion, and the crumbled building, trying to make sense of what had just happened. A sense of panic again clawed at his heart, seeing the damage done by the explosion and he asked Argus to make sure that please no horse got hurt. He willed himself to stay calm, knowing panic would only make the situation worse. Looking around to see if he could find his old men, his eye fell on something else. A shadow between the nearby buildings, moving about in an awfully suspicious matter. His skin prickled as his eyes locked onto it, feeling himself moving forward. Something was off and as he steeled himself to push into its direction, his curiosity whispered for him to find out what was up.
